Military Police train at the Vernon County Jail

07/19/2016

Members of the 205th Military Police Battalion of the Missouri Army National Guard trained at the Vernon County Jail last week as part of their training for military police detention. According to Sheriff’s Officials, the jail provided a first-hand look at the jails airlock systems for room-to-room containment, inmate security, and overall safety factors of a jail facility. Sheriff Jason Mosher said he was more than happy to provide the assistance of the jail for training, “we consider it an honor any time we can be of assistance to our men and women in the armed forces.” The Sheriff said his office had assisted an MP unit in the past with high-risk vehicle stop training at Camp Clark and said the base had assisted his office with the use of their Shooting range on several occasion. “It’s great to see our troops and members of law enforcement assisting each other” said Mosher.
